[cobalt-users] Runaway RAQ3!! -- Server will not reboot.



We've had lots of problems with our RAQ3 lately. The latest problem is with
email. Users can send mail but cannot be authenticated for POP3. So we made
some changes and now would like to reboot. Well from the GUI it tells me
that everything rebooted but the machine does not restart the chat server
app that is on the machine, nor is there any down time for any of our
customers websites and it doesn't kill a ssh or telnet connection. I have
also tried "init 6" from ssh, and "shutdown -r now" neither one did
anything. Is there a way to reboot the server short of turning the power off
and back on?

Also, if anyone has any ideas why we get username and password errors when
checking our pop3 mail maybe we will not have to restart the server. I
changed my email client program to access the mail server through IMAP and
everything worked fine. But unfortunately, we can not ask over 600 people to
change their email programs.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.
