|That was my post. I run "John The Ripper" on all our servers
|every night from cron. Right after my first install I searched the
|net for a couple of days and grabbed a copy of every password list I
|could find. You can find it at the following URL:

THANK YOU - very much! That's exactly the program I was referring to... I
knew it had a catchy name, but couldn't remember it.
I'm curious if you're using the "password strength checking module for PAM"
that's available? Sounds like it would be a great addition to make sure
users are *forced* to chose strong passwords - but I'm leery of anything
that messes with PAM.
I'm def going to plug-in John the Ripper..
