Re: SV: [cobalt-users] Users not searching Archive First

You're so right - and it's so very gentle and shows a really respecting attitude
towards others to not invest ANY effort whatsoever BEFORE asking a question that
has been answered a million times before. Of course, the decision whether to
reply or not is left to knowledgeable (or, in the case of common DNS problems
lately - sometimes rather clueless) individuals, which is fine. What I object to
in your post is that me, John Cordeiro (the original poster of what you are
criticzing so strongly) and others really DO want to help others with their
problems - as opposed to what you suggest. -- Isn't it true that an issue that
has been described and resolved a gazillion times before (on a mailing list that
DOES HAVE an archive) is one *without* a purely *technical* solution - people do
have to be reminded every once in a while that others' time is worth a dime, and
that it's disrespectful to ignore this. - This probably means some people have
to be reminded there is in fact an archive of this list every once in a while.
