You don't have to be running ipfwadm or ipchains to run
portsentry. Portsentry works just fine with tcp wrappers which I
can't say is installed on the Cube but which I know to be installed
on the RAQ2. For those who are not handy and very comfortable with
firewalls tcp wrappers is a much safer and perhaps a much more
viable option. While it hasn't been mentioned much at all during
the recent discussions on system security, tcp wrappers happens to
be a very strong, extremely well regarded, seasoned and very very
useful security tool.
