I get the same, reason I get this every 15 mins is that I created an account
at
www.watchmyserver.com and the way it checks my server is up is by pinging
all the
various services to check they are up i.e pop3 ftp http etc.
Do you have a server monitoring service or similar set up, somewhere ?
If so that is probably it.
