Hi.
You should actually use -F (Freshen) rather than -U. With
freshen, the old and new RPMs are compared and the upgrade
will only take place if the new RPM is newer than the one
currently installed. If you do a -U then you run the risk
of installing an older RPM than the one you have currently
installed.
