Thank you for your messages regarding an FTP scan
originating from 131.142.8.226, pride.harvard.edu.
I apologize for the bother, and share your concern.

This computer has evidently been cracked by a third
party and was being used to perform the scan.  I can assure you
the scan was not initiated by any staff member of the
local organization.  The address has been blocked as of
yesterday at about 20:00 EST.  This morning I removed
the node from our LAN, and have discussed the situation
with its user/manager.
