I havent tried under the cobalt OS yet,

but on RH the

Apple Darwin RTSP (Real Time Streaming Server) is LUSH

dont be fooled into paying loads for other brands,

get this!

If you have concerns about player coverage(how many people will have the
player already installed)
just follow the links in the Apple developer section,
grab the source and customize your own player completely in JAVA.
If you need help along the way I will be happy to givew pointers from my
experience.
Remember though that MEMORY MEMORY and NETWORK will be your biggest
woes.
I havent yet reached the 1000 ( yes 1000) simulataneous users that
Darwin can support, but I sure have hit my hardware limits more than
once!
