Hi.
Jeff, rather than toiling with RPMs built by someone else who
could be a mainiac, why not compile OpenSSH from source? At least
that way you will know the mainiac in question :^)
openssh-2.5.1p1.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/OpenSSH/portable/
openssl-0.9.6.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.openssl.org/source/
ZLib 1.1.3 (zlib.tar.gz)
ftp://ftp.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/zlib/zlib.html
It really is quite easy. If you like, I would be glad to offer any
assistance to you.
What error(s) are you getting when trying the OpenSSH RPMs? Do you
have Zlib and OpenSSL installed? They are both required for OpenSSH
whether you are compiling from source or installing via RPM.
Take care.
