I'm no expert; but I suspect this is caused from a bind update. I have a
new user who's email would not work. I set her up exactly as I did my
other "working" sites. What I finally did was go in and set up a record
pointing to her ip address:

mail.thatdomain.com --->111.111.111.111.
thatdomain.name    mail is sent to the High priority mail server --->
mail.thatdomain.name

I believe I set the extra record as an a record; unfortunately I cannot
remember. I would try both MX and A.

Her email works like a charm.

The new bind does not seem to be as forgiving as the old.
