Yeah I have done this .. seems this Cobalt is not behaving as it should
thought there must be something I have missed .. anyway will look closer to
see if there is anything else like a hack happening .. thanks again.

Actually pretty easily: on your master nameserver you just change the
serial number to "0" for the domain or domains you want to change. Then
restart your master nameserver.
Wait until all slave servers have gotten the domains with the "0" in
them.
Then change the serial number to whatever you want it to be, and restart
the master nameserver again.
