I would assume you use crontab -e, this evokes the vi editor, and then you
comment out the line by changing it to :
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - edit the master and reinstall.
# (/cr0n installed on Tue Feb 13 23:17:54 2001)
# (Cron version -- $Id: crontab.c,v 2.13 1994/01/17 03:20:37 vixie Exp $)
#*/5 * * * * /usr/sbin/init
