It is his browser, 1.1 doesn't support virtual hosting, apache is trying
to make the browser use the hostname , but the browser doesn't understand
so it just makes the same request again...he needs to at least run
netscape 2 , 1.1 won't work on like a third of the web sites on the net
these days..-/
ps: older versions of netscape on the mac are in fact 1 version behind
what they are on the PC, so he might need 3.0 , in any case , all his SSL
keys have expired too....i guess he doesn't buy much online -/
I'm pretty sure there was a non-protected mode version of netscape 2,
dunno about 3 (i suspect his reluctance to upgrade is cause it's running a
really old OS and it's not upgradable on the IIc series cause the cpu
doesn't support memory protection, so apple stopped supporting it around
system 7.6)
That machine is worth about $25 to antique dealers ;0
