Not if you've reinstalled the Cobalt OS, which wipes the disc, which is
why your trying to reinstate the data in the first place. Then
presumably you need to reinstall all the non-cobalt stuff in such a way
that the OS will carry on as it left off. So the answer may well be
something like, 'reinstate all the directories except ...'. But the it
might not be .... -(:. 

If there are any configuration files within the Cobalt area, then even
if it's only the last site number, that would be enough to screw up the
restore. I've found nothing on this aspect so far, and the fact that
there have been reports of the Cobalt interface undoing manual editing
of configuration files (like DNS) leads me to believe that the Cobalt
interface has its own store of configuration data somewhere, which
overwrites what's been put in by humans.
