After doing a total recover from the OS Update 4 that hosed email abilities
on my Qube, I am now getting an amber light for Operating Systems and
Programs for disk usage.
df shows that the disk is 84% full
I have no files in /tmp or /var/tmp and /etc/analog.dns is tiny (213)
The only things I have installed are the patches and updates, and POP
before SMTP.
Emails in the archive suggest moving files to /home and linking. Does
anyone know which files would be safe to move?
Is there any other solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Peter
PS--when recovering from the restore CD, I found out that only a few
ethernet cards are supported. Fortunately, one of the PCs here had a 3Com
905 card. I had thought I'd be able to restore from my notebook (I have
been able to successfully load Linux and use the same PC Card Ethernet card
on an equivalent machine), but it didn't work. When I called tech support,
I was told that very few Ethernet drivers were available for Linux. If you
have bought the restore CD as insurance, you might want to make sure that
you have a machine around with a supported Ethernet card.
