Hello,
Wondered if anyone knew how to reset the "webmaster" password for a
Front F Page enabled site outside of using the GUI on a RaQ4.
My dilemma:
After restoring the files for a particular site, the user can no longer
"publish" using FrontPage. After making a backup, then disabling and
re-enabling the Extensions via the GUI I notice that all the "dynamic"
linking and search elements are gone from the users' site. If I recursively
copy the data back, I'm back to square 1. So it's a choice...either a
functional site (if you'd call a FrontPage site such), or the means to login
via the FrontPage client.
What I've tried:
1. /usr/local/frontpage/version4.0/fpsrvadm.exe -o recalc | -o security -u
user -pw xxxx bla...bla..blaa (fpsrvadm seems to be equally worthless as
FPX though)
2. Manually updated /home/sites/sitexxx/web/_vtp_pvt/service.pwd with
password from a testbed site.
3. Re-copied data from backup excluding the _vt* folders
Am I missing some other crazy ass Micro$oft crap somewhere? Some key file I
should not copy over from my backup, etc...TIA for any help....
