[cobalt-users] Various problems on raq3

It seems the os 4 update has caused more problems for us than anything...

The first problem discovered:
It seems our aliases no longer work. Our aliases.majordomo APPEAR to be
functional, but I have not yet fully tested that, and it's not used except
by a couple of users, and they haven't complained, and one of the lists I'm
on I did receive mail from. I've restarted sendmail, restarted the server,
tried 'newaliases', all to no avail.

The second problem discovered:
This prompted me to install an rpm I found on the cobalt site a while back.
It's a sendmail rpm of the same version that is currently installed. When I
tried to install the rpm, I get this
failed to open //var/lib/rpm/packages.rpm
error: cannot open //var/lib/rpm/packages.rpm
I figured this to be a configuration problem and went digging for a config
file. I couldn't find one with any reference to that file, so now I'm here.

If the sendmail problem can be fixed without installing the rpm, the rpm
issue can be put on the back burner for now. Though not many people use
majordomo, many people that use our server rely on the aliases.
