In your Site Management Screen for this domain, you probably have an entry
in the following under 'Domain Name' which is how many people setup their
sites....
Web Server Aliases ..... thedomain.com
Email Server Aliases .... thedomain.com
Domain Name .............. thedomain.com
If you have an entry in the Domain Name field in the site admin, then your
settings will disappear when you attempt to add them in
CONTROL PANEL: EMAIL PARAMATERS: HOST ALIAS
Don't ask me why, it's just something I've noticed. I think that adding the
entry in the Domain Name field does the same thing as adding it in the
Control Panel .. host aliases and that is why it is rejected. Your email,
theoretically, should come to anything@xxxxxxxxxx if you have 'domain.com'
listed in the Site Management screen under 'Domain Name'.
