Sorry world listeners.... Here in Michigan in the US we have a very famous
Rock Star/Radio personality/Hunter among things by the name of Ted Nugent.
I grew up with him "Wacking" this and that on the Radio and sometimes I
still use the expression. I am in no way suggesting replacing the "W" with
a "H"

What I Meant....
Wack: to put something into a down state.
This guy is getting pounded on his netbios ports by some other computer.
Now I don't use NT, or 2000 but I do have a 98 Network and I have never seen
any traffic like this. It sounded most likely that the poster was not
expecting any traffic on these ports. IMHO the poster should do everything
possible via normal channels to have that server shutdown and or fixed.
Then if needed he can start a case in order to proceed with legale action to
make them stop. It is making unauthorized and expensive access to his box.
Some have suggested for this problem to have the isp block this traffic at a
router. This is wrong... First it adds to overall network bandwidth.
Second if his isp blocks it they still have to pay to say no to it. If his
isp's isp blocks it they still have to pay to say no. and so on and so on.
Why should all these people pay for what could be an easy repair?
