RE: [cobalt-users] Darn Qube

I don't think that's true, Robert; ever heard of Ebay? You most
certainly are not stuck with it; you can sell it on Ebay, or even on
this list. And I'd bet that you paid (overall) about $1500-$2000 for it,
including your memory upgrades. So sell it for 20% less, and build
yourself a great machine on standard PC hardware.

"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds," and we all
make the same mistake sometimes. Square pegs do not easily fit into
round holes, and he who spits at heaven tends to get it in the face.

Clichés? Of course. But you're going about this the wrong way, man.

And Malcom's point was that none of us has a clue whether this will
work, since none of us have ever tried it. Everybody on this list who's
raised the question has gone one of two paths: (1) use the thing as it
was intended; or (2) get a normal PC to run a normal Linux. I suggest
you do the same.

First, make sure your customers have alternate service while you're
doing all this. Second, buy a restore CD and go to town. Third, let the
list know if it worked. :)

Personally, I doubt it will work. Custom hardware and all that.
