You should be able to get a new IP for the RaQ4i, then when you are happy it
works, swap the IP addresses on the two machines.  If they are not willing
to do it themselves, you can do it yourself.  Use the Linux ifconfig command
to do the swap on eth0 (would be a guess here).

So you can actually do it without them actually knowing until its done.  You
can test the DNS server by using nslookup new.ip.for.raq4i.  This way you
will know if DNS is working the way you want.  Also, doing the swap yourself
means that if you run into trouble, you can immediately swap back, fix the
problem, and re-swap again.

Once you have it working, let them know you did the swap.  I believe they
might of thought you wanted to have the two machines have the same IP # and
this is not possible.
