It's a thin metel box with a couple of ears.... Check your local "Custom
Metels" shop.... A good print can go a long way....
Take a look at the boxes on that guys homepage - he isn't buying
cabinets from ye olde metal shoppe - The cabinet (on the picture,
that is) is a mass-produced OEM cabinet, and those are a bit more
sophisticated than "a thin metal box with a couple of ears". If
you're making a server cabinet, you have to take things like airflow
and cooling into consideration - especially when using dual
processors and dual disks. With the config on the homepage, the box
will be pretty crammed, and that will require more than "just a thin
metal box".
A 4U afair with a single processor and only a few disks is a much
simpler afair to handle, though :^)
That's image a disk and install it... and maybe see if it runs....
You still have to make something that you're going to be reasonably
sure a newbie "appliance operator" will get working. That requires a
bit knowledge and experimentation, which will be reflected in the
price. I can't really tell whether the guy(s) at RM has done this, so
the price may be too high after all.
