I just install these no problems
one thing though it adds a new user called named
that named should run under but it does not upgrade the init.d script to
named -unamed -gnamed
however if do that then you have to change the ownership of the named.conf
however I do not know what effect that would have on the gui as I do not 
use it for DNS
