Ah...am I guessing correctly that the alias line is BEFORE the section
with the virtual site containers?  It starts off with

# VirtualHost: Allows the daemon to respond to requests for more than one
# server address, if your server machine is configured to accept IP

Sure does...very timely, well-written, and so specific that I wasn't
dismayed by "look in the KB", or "search the archives"

The Shared CGI-BIN - solved topic was also a nice touch.  It's a lot
easier to search for solved than wade through the maybes.

I hope I can return the favor.
