these functions do not seem to use CGI, though. but i remember a case
where a cgi script was called by another, cron-triggered script to
simulate an interactive session for cleanup.
but anyway, what script do you have, which language and what do you want
to have a timeout for ?
the above tasks do not seem to require a timeout... i don`t think that
they will work well if you simply add a timeout ?
