I get the following error message when I try to start phpmyadmin.
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server
through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111) .
I looked in for a file called mysql.sock in the /tmp directory and it
doesn't exist.
A file by that name does exist in /home/mysql .
All was working well when I first installed mysql and phpmyadmin. I
haven't used either for about a week now and haven't done much to the
server that could have caused this problem.
I installed mysql from the package located here:
http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/
Any ideas ? Thanks.
