Currently we are using several Qube 3s in remote locations acting as a
shared file system. We have also hung a modem off the back of the Qube 3 in
case the main connection to the remote location goes down -- the Qube 3 acts
quite nicely as a dialup backup system and allows 2 - 3 users back into the
network. Here's the gotcha !
Normally the Qube 3 Internet connection (under Network, Internet) is set to
use a Gateway on a LAN. The Server Gateway on this screen is hard-coded for
each remote facility. To change to a dialup connection, you click on the
"Change Internet Connection to ..." box and set it to Analog modem or ISDN.
