Well then your wrong again..... Note my prices above that I just verified
with my distributor (The Expensive one at that) and you can clearly see that
the P3 is less expensive, and a genuine intel. You know those people that
made the i386 that redhat (our flavor of linux) is based on? Looks to me
like an upgrade later to 933 for about $85 more :)

Not without a multiproccessor chipset. But I think the kids at home are
having lot's of fun with the Athlon considering how much Tech Tv (Stock Tv)
has been pushing it for games....

Not when all you need is a squril in a cage on a wheel like we have now..

How could you know this and still support them...? Do you run an apple or
something?? :) Windows hater??? :)

I have used so many diffrent proccessors I couldn't begin to count them...
Now if you want to run in the world of linux I suggest the afordable i386 or
the NEW Sun Server thing (not cobalt). I guess the sun thing would be a
science project.
But if you want to stay in the mainstream and current in the linux community
I feel the best choice is an intel one.
In My Humble Opinion
They Don't have a chipset.
They appeal to gamers.
They are not the fastest.
They have no major upgrade path at this time.
Unless I missed something this is their only "Claim to fame processor"
Traditionally they are nothing more then the cheapest source for cpu's to
sell and never support. in a word... Garbage....
btw do you have any BogoMips numbers to support Athlon over intel??
and for that matter would they really count and could you actually compare
the results.... Most likely not.... Hey I found em... 2182.35 BogoMips for
the Athlon! Not bad but Where are the reasonable reports for the 733 or
966... Well I have a customer here gota run.....
