I was having this problem too, it was driving me nuts!  I understand where
you're coming from.
The big RaQ4 OS update released in December (the 21st methinks?) cleared it
up for me, since it was a compilation of previous releases that I hadn't
been courageous enough to install yet. <smile>
Maybe you can check and see which update fixes this for the RaQ3? A Cobalt
tekkie might be able to tell you exactly which one if the update
descriptions aren't clear.

Zeffie, I had an alternate time server set up in the GUI and it still did it
whenever I rebooted. :(
(Boy that was annoying, and boy am I glad the update fixed it!)
