I added the IP to our DNS servers, both primary and secondary, setup the
reverse, primary, and named.conf files.
I tried one IP, and after these problems persisted, I tried a second IP
address making sure that the appropriate files were modified. and
restarted named.
nslookup was successful each time with both IP's foward and reverse lookups
with the primary and secondary name servers, and also with the raq3.
Correct, I could ping the IP Address, i tried to telnet to it:
telnet www.domain.com 110... No response
telnet som.eIP.Add.res 110... No response
telnet www.domain.com 25... No response
telnet som.eIP.Add.res 25... No response
repeat w 80
etc. etc
I wrote the ports that way for the sake of brevity, but alas, brevity is
not clarity. My apologies.
After the reboot, I'm able to get to both port 25 and 110 of the ip address
(And get the sendmail and qpop promts). port 80 does not respond. I have
tried stopping and restarting httpd multiple times
/et..path../httpd stop
checked to make sure that it stopped...
ps ax | grep httpd
/et..path../httpd start
checked to make sure that it started...
ps ax | grep httpd
I've checked the httpd.conf file, and everything for the <VirtualHost>
record is exactly the same (different roots and vars taken in
consideration) as the rest.
I would guess, that for some reason Apache is not listening for some
baffling reason. I've tail'ed the log, and error files... nothing. I'm
about to go to see if I can find anything over there...

This confuses me. You can't ping a site. You can ping an IP address.
Is that what you mean?

You are using "dots" and not "commas", right? And you do know that
80.25.110 is NOT a complete IP#, right?

Where did you get that IP# from? Are any other sites on your RaQ hosted
on it? If so, can they be reached?
What other IP#s are on your RaQ?

Yes, but it's well above where you are now; I think it's 250. I may be
wrong.

I don't think so, and wouldn't advise it.
