RE: [cobalt-users] Virtual Sites-Moving and Preserving Paths



This is something that the Cobalt Migration tool doesn't
even mention in it's documentation. Did'nt pay attention
until after using it and found out that it pretty much
broke all the sites cgi's after the migration. All hard
coded /home/sites/siteX/ cgi paths need to be corrected to
the new site number after migration.

+Not that I am aware of.  you could make 76 sites and make sure you put in
+the right one at the wrong time but thats too much of a pain i'm sure.  I
+would suggest your rewrite your code using the symlinks instead of the site
+numbers.  ie:  /home/sites/site99/web  equals
+/home/sites/www.somedomain.com/web
