RE: [cobalt-users] New Cobalt Forum

Great idea, Brad. Other good minds have thought alike, and the project has
been taken up more than once. :|

However useful the thought of a board, the eventual conclusion is that (a)
most people are happy with the mailing list format since it can be read at
any time, off-line, and can be archived locally; (b) have too much inertia
to move the discussions off the list; and (c) just don't care that much.

I'm an (a) person; I have over 16,000 messages in a folder, and those are
the archives I search when I need answers. It's much quicker than using that
God-forsaken excuse for an archive Cobalt set up.

I also appreciate the effort; however, I cannot predict success for the
effort nor do I offer to help traffic much. I get all my mail at work, then
read this list at home, at night, off-line.
