Can someone give me a basic overview of what to do (what tools to install) to get
my RaQ4 box up to a basic level of security. I've read some posts lately about
people detecting hack attempts. I'm so new to the RaQ world and Linux for that
matter that I would even know if someone were attempting to hack into my box.
A couple of recent post talked about taking telnet access away from the ADMIN
user. That sounds logic to me. How is that done ?
Also can someone provide a quick/simple how-to on installing and configuringing
portsentry, including how to get it to email info about hack attempts to me ?
Another "basic" I could use help on is this: Where would I look (logs, etc ...)
to see if any hack attempts have already been made.
Thanks for any help that you can provide .
