[cobalt-users] Webalizer Raq3 Logs

Hello, odd things are a happening.

Until recently, I downloaded logs for the couple of customers who wanted stats, ran a standalone analyser
programme (WebFunnel) and uploaded the results back to my Raq. This worked well, but as more customers
asked for stats I had to automate.

So Webalizer (1.3) is now running on the raq.

I have had it on there and checked the big sites daily to make sure all was OK. Seemed to be.
On Monday, I mailshotted the clients telling them about the new stats facility.

It has now gone wrong on my two busy sites - typical.

For just two sites....
all the rest are still 100% fine.
The /home/sites/www.domain.com/logs/web.log read yesterday as zerok
And no updated webalizer pages, still showing the day before's
Today, the webalizer files have started afresh, and have forgotten the rest of January completely.
As you can imagine - unhappy customer.

Does anyone know why this might have occurred?
Can I get the logs back?
What is the web.log.1.gz file (I know it is an archive of the logs)

Could anyone shed some light onto how the logs work anyway.
It seems to me, the raq logs everything. nightly, it splits that log up and appends to each site's web.log
Periodically, each site's web.log is archived into web.log.1.gz
Is this one permanent?

What does Webalizer do? Does it keep its own seperate log files as well as the graphs.

So many questions - appologies.
