Have you looked at the "http://www.proftpd.net/"; website?  It'd be a
good place to start.

Find "documentation", then choose the list of directives.  Then use your
browser's "search in page" function.  Hint:  look for "root" to find an
answer to your directory question.  You'll have to browse around to find
the other one.

And remember that the next time you top post a completely unrelated post
at the top of an entire digest, that no one will bother to respond to
