did you chown the file to a site user. and make sure the counter.pl file is
chmod 755 and finally make sure the first line in the .pl file reads
#!/usr/bin/perl
good luck

The error occurs in /var/log/httpd/error.log.
I know this is probably an easy error, but I'm a total newbie in cgi, so I
don't really know what to do...
The cgi is a simple SSi counter which I included in my html like this:
<!--#exec cgi="/counter.pl" -->
The counter writes its data to a file in a subdir which is chmod 777 and the
file is -rw-rw-r--.
I would really appreciate any help on this, so I can resolve such things on
my own in the future!
TIA
Marc
