I believe what he did was just use:
host <ip> or host <domain>
Example:
1:16pm@hercules[~)> host 64.12.168.20
Name: ms3.newaol.com
Address: 64.12.168.20
1:16pm@hercules[~)> host ftp.uu.net
ftp.uu.net A 192.48.96.9
1:16pm@hercules[~)>
I hope this is what you're looking for. You can just substitute
ftp.uu.net with your domain and see what it comes back with.
