So what? You have not expressed where you can rent the RaQ4i for
$180/mo., nor have you mentioned anything else that would make this a
fair comparison. It goes well beyond the whole apples to oranges thing,
as well as the old cliche' "you get what you pay for."

If you really expect to be in business you better start looking at the
whole picture, not just price. Take a look at levels of service, the
network, service level guarantees, uptime, latency, you name it. Can
this provider sustain a power outage, do they have redundancy, ie., do
they run BGP, are they directly connected to major carriers, or just the
local ISP? How long have they been in business? Are there hidden costs,
over and above your service level? These are questions for all
providers, not just the one you are referring to.

Our pricing is a happy balance of cost vs. profit, vs., just what the
market will bear. For what we provide, and based on the network we have
built we have always charged accordingly. I am sure you will find
pricing more or less than $200/mo. for 128k, but all in all, this is a
pretty fair market price based on what we pay, and what we provide.

I expect this type of nonsense from an average $15/mo. dialup subscriber,
most people who colo are in the hosting business themselves, and you
would think that there would be a modicum of common sense when it comes
back to that notion; you pay for what you get.

I have heard many people rant and complain about the fact that they could
build a RaQ for pennies compared to Cobalt, and there are tons of
companies doing it. However, when you put the RaQ up against one of
these cheapy devices, the RaQ seems to still have something they lack,
the GUI. Sure some others have it, but not quite like Cobalt. This is
not to say there never will be, but my point is, you really have to
create a complete and full comparison of two or more different services
before you can run you mouth off.
