You can use *any* machine as a nameserver. What you've seen conflicts about
is different... some people want to do both primary and secondary DNS on the
same machine and, while this is possible, it's a really bad idea if you
actually want to build a decent network.
Setup one machine (whichever you want, probably the 4 is best since it's
faster) as primary. On this machine, you set up all the proper records for
each domain (A, PTR, MX).
Then, just tell the other machine to be a secondary for that domain and tell
it where to find the "master" server (your primary). It will go and get all
the info automatically and update itself every time it's necessary.
