You'll still find some that won't work with the pointers; so just be
prepared for it. :)
You know, Carrie, that can be an ownership problem. The "name" is, of
course, only an alias but those are set with their own, separate
ownerships and, if you change ownership of the site itself, there may
be an ownership conflict and some scripts might choke.
Theoretically, site aliases are supposed to work perfectly from paths
in any perl script. Of course, that's theory.
Next time you run into that problem, check that. That's how I solved
all of my chokes when using the site name in a script path. Mind you,
I don't run all the scripts in the world so there may be other
problems arising with some scripts that have nothing to do with what
I just wrote.
