Well,

I tried hooking up a crossover serial connection to an other machine
and got no output at all. I have now ordered the OS Restore CD and
finger's crossed it will arrive soon and all will be well.

PS. I didn't mean the comment about possibly scrapping the Cube.
The message was sent after a horrendous 3 days in which 4 of my
machines at home decided to puke in  a wide variety of colors.
I *love* my Cube ;-)

Umm, what about hooking up a serial cable and capturing what you get when
booting.  Post that output here, and then maybe we can suggest something.
