Actually I wasn't flaming, was just ironic (forgot the emoticons - too bad).
I am quite a nice guy. And not very rassistic (would be difficult anyway
looking at my ancestors ;-). Probably I got bored a bit with the quite rude
attitude. My apologies.
Fact is, I just don't understand it. So much fuss for something that appears
to be simple cheating. And then you (or whoever) are ranting like anything
here on the list. I am just waiting for the words "Burn'em" (I mean
metaphorically :-). But it should be a simple thing. You have contract, you
paid for something you did not get, you won't have to pay anymore, you move
to a better colo. You're happy, you're customer's are happy, because they
get a faster connection and you might even get money back from the
Rack-people. This might take one or two days. Sueing may take you months and
you don't even know, if you win. It just does not sound logic to me. Sorry.
It would only make sense, if you really can get a lot of money.
Actually I am Swiss, I was just born in good ol' Kentucky, and your
Government was so kind to give me the passport. No tax and no security
implication and I did not rob a bank either. Lived here, went to school
here, married here and might even die here (hope not ;-).
Not that everything is nice over here in Europe, but at least people don't
indulge in lawsuits here so much for sporting matters. And this has nothing
to do with being an American per se, but probably with a certain attitude. I
mean, people, who want a billion dollar for having found a hair in their
cheeseburger doesn't seem such a sound idea, isn't it? It's a question of
culture, either you can sort things out or leave, or sue each other. Not
very social, isn't it? On one hand, you promote freedom for everyone and the
other, you'll always have to worry to get sued for any kinda mistake you may
make. I'd get very nervous. Anyway the Swiss have strange attitudes as well,
of course.
So my apologies for having hurt any American soul (in my next life I may
have to stay there - Karma ;-) - and God save the Queen - and the president
of course, if you happen to get one ;-) (Oops, I did it again, still no
respect, tsts).
Thanks for the nice attribute to my name ;-). But it's not quite true,
Cedric means Battle chieftain, so beware. Howgh.
Regards and Peace
Cédric
