Goodday,
If you go to: Control Panel, Network and fill in the Primary DNS and the
Secondary DNS the file /etc/resolv.conf will be modified.
Be careful though, you can better check that file twice and do the following:
Connect to the machine with telnet and type the command: "host bla" (without
quotes). it should provide you with the response: Host not found. If it does
resolve something like "host bla<domain> has address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" check it
with another strange host name. If it still gives a host found modify the file
to something which ends with a dot. You can always do the same thing I did and
make the 1st line: "search ." (without quotes).
It happens also that this file will suddenly have the 1st values, just set it
back and find the cause....
Hope this helps.
