Is the option for outlook to remember the userid and password selected? I use
outlook with no problems (although I am using imap on the Qube2). I even have
the Qube2 use fetchmail to pick up some mail at a pop3 site and a imap site so
everything ends up on the Qube2.

I'll test for you on my system if you tell me the pop3 commands needed to
logon. I guess I could dig them out, but if you got them handy, it will speed
up me checking my box.

That question throws me. If your web server is running it should respond to
port 80 on either interface unless you have it disabled. I assume you are
doing NAT, etc. Have you tried http://www.domain from the outside and
http://192.168.1.1 from the LAN? Maybe someone else will better understand
your question.
