This strikes me as odd, even though I've waded through installation of 128 bit
SSL
and .htaccess directory protection. I kept following directions for creating
.htaccess and htpasswd and it never worked. My ISP told me I was on a RAQ3 when
I was
on a RAQ4, which was part of the problem. Thanks to this list, I got the
information
I needed and got the directories protected.
I also had 403 errors directed to forbidn.html and 404 errors to notfound.html.
I set this up in etc/httpd/conf/srm.conf.
Now, for some reason, when I type in a non-existent file name, I always get the
forbidn.html message ... not notfound.html as I should.
Is there some esoteric reason this is happening? Is there a way to have both
working?
