[cobalt-users] raq4 - cgi / java question

I have installed a script which should connect to a java client on port 9050
I have installed the java runtime client from kaffe.com and it seems to be
running ok.
when the java client is started I get a message that says it is listening on
port 9050
However, when the script tries to connect on port 9050 it times out.
Is there any way to test the port is ready without using <localhost>? - the
server is administered remotely.
Is there any additional configuration to allow that port to be used?
TIA
Sam
