Hello again folks, and thanks to those that proffered wisdom ;-)

Well...it appears the problem I was having with an 'authentication error'
when attempting to change the nameserver details was purely down to a fault
in 123-reg's control panel operation :-(

The 'authentication' was 123-reg's  problem - via their automated control
panel and its interface with OpenSRS.

Can't do much 'til it's fixed - have been told, "wait 'til Monday" -
precisely a week out of commission...

Bloody shambles methinks, and I've been given mostly duff info from
Webfusion/123-reg too to add to the total waste of time and effort.

Another scar down to experience!
