[cobalt-users] how to tell sendmail to ALWAYS use an external SMTP?

How do I tell sendmail to ALWAYS use an external SMTP?

.) I have a RaQ with a hundred of virtual domain on it.
.) The RaQ DNS service is turned off.
.) The RaQ uses external DNSs (bigger iron box).
.) All virtual domains have their POP on an external (bigger iron box).
.) All email accounts on the external box work correctly.
.) They receive and send mail to/from every one.
.) When a cgi or the php send() sends a mail to anyone who has NOT
   its domain on the RaQ it works.

HOWEVER: when a cgi or the php send() sends a mail to an address that has a
domain on the RaQ the mail gets lost.

I think sendmail wrongly thinks the pop account is on the RaQ.

The MX record on the external DNS is correct tho!

I'm looking for a way to force sendmail to use an external SMTP, how do I do
that.

I'm open to suggestions.
