Hi all,
I'm a new to the list but it seems apparent to me that the solution to lots
of my questions would require me to edit the httpd.conf file. Can someone
write a brief tutorial on how to do this? (i.e. "Editing httpd.conf for
Dummies").
I've backed it up using: cp /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Then I've tried opening it using: vi /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
but all I get is a warning message that basically says to me, "don't mess
with this file unless you know what the hell you are doing"
How do I see the virtual sites? I don't seem to be able to scroll down or
anything. Also, if I make a royal mess of the thing how do I restore the
backup? Should I listen to the warning message and not attempt this??
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Brian
