Okay, I've searched the archives regarding this problem,
and have found similar questions, but not exactly the
thing I'm looking for.
A customer has two domains:
a.com
b.com
www.a.com is set up on our RaQ 3i and I know how to make
it so that www.b.com points to that site via DNS by just
pointing www.b.com to the IP address that www.a.com uses.
My problem though is that the customer wants www.b.com
to remain in the address bar of the browser when they go
to that URL. Now what happens is that when you go to
www.b.com, it will rewrite the host in the address bar to
be www.a.com.
My question is what is the best way to configure this so
that what is entered stays in the address bar and doesn't
get rewritten.
I have found the Rewrite lines in the httpd.conf file and
know that if I comment those out, it will work. However,
I'm afraid that if their site gets modified, it's going to
trash my changes and include those Rewrite lines again. Also,
I've noticed that by commenting those out, it will break the
www.a.com/siteadmin stuff.
Any ideas?
